Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu (1,400 m)

  • Arrive in Kathmandu and transfer to the hotel.
  • Evening briefing about the Yatra.
  • Sightseeing (if time permits) – Pashupatinath Temple & Jal Narayan Temple.

 Accommodation: 4-star hotel in Kathmandu
 Meals: Dinner

Day 2: Kathmandu Sightseeing & Preparation for the Yatra

  • Visit Pashupatinath Temple, Swayambhunath Stupa, and Budhanilkantha Temple.
  • Trip preparation – Tibet visa and permits check.

 Accommodation: 4-star hotel in Kathmandu
 Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner

Day 3: Kathmandu – Syabrubesi (Drive: 150 km, 7 Hours, 1,550 m)

  • Early morning drive towards Syabrubesi, near the Nepal-Tibet border.
  • Enjoy scenic landscapes and rivers on the way.

 Accommodation: Guesthouse in Syabrubesi
 Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner

Day 4: Syabrubesi – Kerung (Drive: 40 km, 3 Hours, 2,700 m)

  • Cross the Nepal-Tibet border at Rasuwagadhi.
  • Complete immigration formalities and enter China (Tibet region).
  • Drive to Kerung, a small Tibetan town.

Day 5: Acclimatization Day in Kerung

  • Rest day for acclimatization to the high altitude.
  • Short walks for altitude adjustment.

Day 6: Kerung – Saga (Drive: 380 km, 7-8 Hours, 4,640 m)

  • Drive through Tibetan Plateau with breathtaking mountain views.

 Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner

Day 7: Saga – Mansarovar Lake (Drive: 460 km, 8 Hours, 4,590 m)

  • Drive to Mansarovar Lake, one of the holiest lakes in Hinduism and Buddhism.
  • Perform Mansarovar Parikrama by vehicle.
  • Take a holy dip and perform puja.

Day 8: Mansarovar – Darchen (Drive: 40 km, 1 Hour, 4,670 m)

  • Morning rituals at Mansarovar.
  • Short drive to Darchen, the base for Mount Kailash Parikrama.

Day 9: Darchen – Yam Dwar – Trek to Dirapuk (Trek: 12 km, 5-6 Hours, 4,950 m)

  • Drive to Yam Dwar, the starting point of Kailash Parikrama.
  • Trek to Dirapuk, offering breathtaking views of Mount Kailash’s North Face.

 Accommodation: Guesthouse in Dirapuk
 Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner

Day 10: Dirapuk – Dolma La Pass – Zuthulpuk (Trek: 22 km, 9-10 Hours, 5,645 m)

  • Most challenging day of the trek.
  • Cross Dolma La Pass (5,645 m), the highest point.
  • Visit Gauri Kund, a sacred lake.
  • Descend to Zuthulpuk Monastery (4,790 m) for an overnight stay.

 Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner

Day 11: Zuthulpuk – Darchen (Trek: 6 km, 2-3 Hours) – Saga (Drive: 470 km, 9 Hours)

  • Complete the Kailash Parikrama by trekking back to Darchen.
  • Drive back to Saga.

Day 12: Saga – Kerung (Drive: 380 km, 7-8 Hours)

  • Drive back towards Kerung, retracing the route.

Day 13: Kerung – Syabrubesi – Kathmandu (Drive: 170 km, 8-9 Hours)

  • Cross the Tibet-Nepal border at Rasuwagadhi.

Day 14: Departure from Kathmandu

  • Transfer to Tribhuvan International Airport for departure.
