Day 1 – Delhi to Haridwar

Distance: 230 km
Travel Time: 6–7 hours

The Char Dham pilgrimage begins from Delhi. After arrival in Delhi, the journey continues towards Haridwar, one of the most sacred cities in India.

Haridwar is located on the banks of the holy River Ganga and serves as the gateway to the Char Dham Yatra.

Upon arrival, check into the hotel and relax. In the evening visit Har Ki Pauri, the most famous ghat in Haridwar, to attend the Ganga Aarti. Thousands of devotees gather here to witness the spiritual ceremony where lamps float on the river creating a magical atmosphere.

Day 2 – Haridwar to Barkot

Distance: 210 km
Travel Time: 8–9 hours

After breakfast, begin the drive towards Barkot, a peaceful hill town located near Yamunotri.

The journey passes through scenic Himalayan roads and beautiful valleys. En route you may stop at Mussoorie, a popular hill station known as the Queen of Hills. Travelers can also visit the famous Kempty Falls.

Day 3 – Barkot to Yamunotri Trek and Return

Day 4 – Barkot to Uttarkashi

Day 5 – Uttarkashi to Gangotri and Return
